STD's Special: Britons- are we afraid of condoms?

Almost 40 years has passed since the time of the Swinging Sixties and the sexual revolution and STD's in the UK are on the increase - in 2006, there were at least 7,093 new diagnoses of HIV, contributing to a cumulative total of 88,627 reported by the end of June 2007. Other STD's are also on the rise- new diagnoses of genital herpes went up by 9% to 21,698 and new diagnoses of Chlamydia went up 4% to 113,585.
A research by the Family Planning Association has shown that 36% of Britons still don’t use a condom as they are too shy and embarrassed to discuss their use with a new sexual partner.
